Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to serve residents, supervise servers, and support signature dining programs across meals seven days a week. No late nights or very early mornings.

The role emphasizes service excellence and resident satisfaction in a caring environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of front-of-house supervisory experience in hospitality or food service, a high school diploma, and a passion for resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of front-of-the-house experience in hospitality or similar setting.
• Supervisor or management experience in dietary or food services required.
• High school diploma and some hospitality training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Serve meals with a pleasant, respectful demeanor, mindful of residents' needs.
• Prepare the dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear dishes.
• Resolve resident or guest dining concerns promptly and professionally.
• Inspect dining rooms and server stations for cleanliness and order; report issues.
• Support creation and execution of signature dining programs; supervise servers.

Pay range: $22-$24 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-time: 3pm to close (@7:30pm), 20-24 hours per week

• Full-time: 7am to 3:30pm
• Part-time: 3pm to close (@7:30pm), 20-24 hours per week

Overview

Do you love the hospitality and food & beverage industry? The Dining Room Manager in our communities do too! Their role is to get to know and serve our residents in their home. They also support the creation and execution of our signature dining services programs and supervise servers. These team members provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional and memorable dining experience for all of our residents. We serve Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner as well as two snacks, seven days a week. No late nights or super early mornings! (Management/Supervisor experience is required)

Areas of Responsibility

• High school graduate required. Prefer courses in hospitality management or dining room operations.
• A minimum of one-year experience in “front of the house operations” in a restaurant, hotel, club or similar institution is preferred.
• Experience in a Supervisor role in dietary or food services.
• Management or supervisor experience is required.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to our residents in a safe, sanitary manner in accordance with Public Health Regulations, and in compliance with Sanitation Code.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals in a pleasant, respectful manner, mindful of the special needs of the residents.
• Prepare the dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
• Promptly and efficiently attempt to resolve any resident or guest dining concerns.
• Inspect the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations to assure that they are clean and in good working order. Report any problems to The Dinning Services Director.
