Job summary

Overlake Golf & Country Club in Washington is seeking a Dining Room Service team member to deliver attentive, friendly, and efficient service from start to finish in our premier dining spaces.

The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, teamwork, and professional hospitality. A background check and a Food Handler's Permit are required, with weekend shifts preferred and opportunities to grow within a private club setting.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check.
• Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one.
• At least one weekend day required; both days are a plus.
• Private club experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform Server or Server Assistant responsibilities to the utmost ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations based on member preferences.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the system.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely manner.
• Check in with members to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
• Bill the members correctly and accurately split checks as requested.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
• Assist with bussing duties, including clearing and resetting tables efficiently.
• Support hosting duties, such as welcoming members at the door, managing reservations, and seating guests.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance member experience.
• Handle member complaints or escalates them to management as needed.
• Assist in opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down service areas.
• Monitor and maintain stock of supplies like napkins, condiments, and utensils.
• Adhere to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Provide a positive and welcoming experience to ensure member satisfaction and repeat business.
• Perform all other front of house duties as assigned.
