Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an Assisted Living Dining Room Server at Crescent Point of Niantic in Connecticut. You will take food and beverage orders from residents, serve meals on time, present dishes attractively, and help set up dining rooms for the next service.

This full-time role requires a friendly, patient approach, knowledge of dietary procedures and health guidelines, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations for food service operations.
• Able to serve food and beverages for residents promptly and efficiently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Primarily a standing position and must stand in one place for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.
