Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server/Dishwasher in Colorado Springs. Be present in dining room for full meal service; ensure hot meals are served hot and cold items properly presented while maintaining a gracious environment.

Responsibilities include accurate order relay, customer service to residents, and upkeep of cleanliness. Training, rotations, and opportunities for advancement are provided within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitary environment at all times.
• Oversee bistro areas – food presentation, cleanliness, stock, beverages, and related tasks.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• Participate in the Quality Assurance Committee as directed.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.

Schedule: Thursday 10:30am-7:00pm, Sunday & Monday 10:30am-7:00pm

Provide service of high-quality meals and facilitation of a gracious environment. This entails; accurate communication and order taking, properly relaying meal orders to back of the house staff. Offer exceptional customer service, as part of all interactions with our cherished residents.

QUALIFICATIONS
