Job summary

Western States Lodging & Management is hiring a Dining Room Server to create welcoming dining experiences for residents. You will greet guests, assist with seating, take orders, and serve meals with attentiveness and professionalism.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean dining spaces, refilling beverages, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are followed. The role emphasizes friendly communication with residents and teamwork in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, including those pursuing completion.
• 0–1 year of experience in dining or customer service is helpful but not required.
• Valid Food Handler's Permit or ServeSafe Certification as required by the state.
• Basic customer service skills and a pleasant, welcoming personality.
• Patience and willingness to work with older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Strong attention to detail with table setup and service.
• Ability to follow instructions and company policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome residents and guests with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Assist seating and provide menus.
• Take orders and serve meals in a polished, attentive manner.
• Communicate with residents to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Set, clear and reset dining tables promptly.
• Refill beverages and maintain dining supplies.
• Maintain dining room appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
• Wipe tables and seating areas as needed.
• Follow food-handling, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain hygiene and professional appearance.
• Communicate positively with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
