Dining Room Manager

The Dining Room Manager will ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high standards of production, productivity, quality, and customer service. The manager will supervise and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to provide timely and courteous service to residents and guests.

Required Experience

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Effective speaking skills for groups of customers or employees.
• Good judgment in understanding and executing instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
• High energy level and self-motivation.
• High standards of work quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Staffing: interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling.
• Scheduling dining reservations and arranging parties or special services.
• Greeting guests, escorting them to tables, and providing menus.
• Handling and resolving complaints to ensure a great dining experience.
• Assigning work tasks and coordinating dining room activities for prompt service.
• Inspecting dining room stations for cleanliness and neatness.
• Inventory management of linens and dining supplies.
• Striving for continual organizational improvement.
