Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Dining Room Lead for Brandywine Living at Upper Providence. This full-time role (11a-7:30p / 7a-3p) pays $17.00 per hour and offers leadership over Dining Servers to ensure excellent resident service.

You will take orders, supervise service, mentor staff, and help maintain a welcoming dining environment with attention to dietary needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum of one year in fine dining hospitality or senior living.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly, attentive manner.
• Train and mentor new Dining Servers.
• Assist with scheduling Dining Servers and coordinating service.
• Ensure dining rooms are set up and stocked for service (silverware, menus, condiments).
• Maintain resident dietary restrictions and special requests.
• Ensure accurate attendance documentation during meals.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and beverage preparation.
• Comply with all regulations and community policies.

Position/Job Title: Dining Room Lead
Location: Brandywine Living at Upper Providence

Employment Type: Full-Time (11a-7:30p / 7a - 3pm)

Pay Range: $17.00 per hour

Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

Take a leadership role with the Dining Servers. Provide excellent customer service to our residents. Take resident orders, serving meals, providing assistance, and creating a pleasant dining experience for the resident.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist the Culinary Services Director with special projects as assigned
• Train and mentor new Dining Servers
• Provide on-going training and guidance to Dining Servers to ensure great customer service
• Assist with scheduling Dining Servers
• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition
• Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure dining room(s) (Pub, Assisted Living, Independent Living) is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance
• Conducts the pre-service meeting to discuss menu items and specials
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma preferred/GED accepted
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience working with seniors
