Overview

Opportunity: Dining Room Attendant/ Bus Help

Clear and reset tables, assist food servers, and provide courteous, professional, and efficient service to guests.

The compensation for this position is $15 an hour plus tips.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet guests promptly, courteously, and warmly, serving water and calling them by name whenever possible.
• Pour coffee and non-alcoholic beverages upon request, and provide bread service as appropriate.
• Set up tables before opening according to hotel requirements and layout.
• Stock and maintain service stations with supplies before, during, and after shifts.
• Clear and reset tables promptly and quietly, remove dirty stock, breakdown trays, and take soiled linen to Housekeeping.
• Assist servers with order delivery and pre-busing tables.
• Set up and breakdown buffet and Sunday Brunch daily, following hotel standards.
• Manage the coffee-to-go station in the lobby, keeping it replenished and clean.
• Keep floors free of debris during and after shifts.
• Assist in restaurant cleaning and maintenance.
• Declare tips according to IRS standards.

Managerial Functions

• Escort guests to their seats courteously and promptly, and fulfill special requests like highchairs or booster seats.
• Present menus in a friendly manner.
• Assist with Room Service as needed.

Work Environment and Context

• Communicate effectively in verbal and written form with guests and staff.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Carry trays, set and clear tables efficiently.
• Lift and carry objects weighing approximately 30 pounds.
• Perform repetitive duties frequently.
