Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience as a Dietary Aide preferred.
• Able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations.
• Basic knowledge of attractive food service, sanitation, and safety.
• Tolerate potential exposure to blood, body tissues, and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
• Manual dexterity required to operate modern office and dietary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dining room tables for meal times, including silverware, napkins, plates, salad bowls, ice water and other beverages.
• Replenish condiments (salt, pepper, sugars, cream, etc.).
• Serve resident meals.
• Assist with preparation of menu items as directed by the Dietary Supervisor/Head Chef.
• Clean dining room after meals, dispose of waste, wipe tables, rinse/sanitize place settings and utensils.
• Vacuum dining area.
• Mop kitchen floor after meal preparation and as needed.
• Transport trash to disposal area.
• Attend required department events and trainings.
• Maintain a safe workplace and report unsafe conditions.
