Job summary

Stonebridge Companies in Denver, CO is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess for a part-time position. You will welcome guests, escort them to seats, present menus, and manage reservations to ensure a smooth dining flow.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and knowledge of promotions. You may assist with function room setup and opening/closing duties as needed, while maintaining a clean and courteous dining environment.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests professionally.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, menu offerings, and promotions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for tasks such as totaling costs and making change.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and escorts them to their seats in a courteous manner.
• Presents menus and answers guest questions regarding the food and service.
• Manages seating arrangements based on activity and reservations.
• Performs opening and closing duties to prepare the restaurant for service.
• Assists food and beverage staff with side-work and setup as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of hours, promotions, and specials to assist guests.
• Responds to guest inquiries and ensures needs are met efficiently.
• Creates and manages reservations using the property reservation system.
• Maintains seating charts and confirms reservations, including large parties and special requests.
• Ensures a clean and organized work environment at all times.
• May assist with setup and cleaning of function rooms when necessary.
• Attends department meetings and completes assigned projects.
