Qualifications

• Previous cashier, customer-service, administrative, or headcount experience preferred.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Ability to use electronic payment and accountability systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to protect financial and Government information.
• Ability to obtain required installation and system access.
• Must be available for assigned meal periods, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dining facility cashier and headcount station.
• Verify customer identification and meal eligibility.
• Record each meal served accurately.
• Process cash and authorized electronic payments.
• Issue receipts and provide correct change.
• Maintain cash drawers and accountability documents.
• Reconcile cash, transactions, and headcount totals.
• Enter or verify information in authorized systems.
• Protect funds, records, passwords, and sensitive information.
• Report discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain orderly customer flow.
• Provide courteous assistance to dining facility customers.
• Prepare daily cashier and headcount reports.
