Job summary

Tranquillity at Fredericktowne in Frederick, MD is seeking a Cook for our Dining / Culinary team. The role plans, prepares, and serves nutritious meals in a sanitary, organized manner, supporting the Culinary Services Director in a busy senior living dining operation.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate; experience with large-volume meal production and some supervisory exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.
