Dining Assistant / Server | Part-Time Evening 4-7p | St Peter MN.

The Dining Assistant is responsible for assisting with food preparation, serving, and cleanup. This position maintains the work area in proper order and follows established policies and procedures of the facility while demonstrating high levels of service.

Ecumen Prairie Hill and Ecumen Sand Prairie are hiring a Dining Assistant. Ecumen Sand Prairie consists of 42 assisted living rental apartment homes, and Ecumen Prairie Hill consists of 43 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 20 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services. Both are located in St. Peter, Minnesota.

Opportunity Details:

  1. Schedule: Part-Time, evenings 4-7 p.m., 12 hours scheduled every 2 weeks, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
  2. Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining pay, including experience, qualifications, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exemplary service to residents, families, and guests, ensuring all feel welcome and receive friendly, courteous service.
  2. Serve meals according to diet orders and portion sizes, at proper temperatures, complying with all federal and state regulations.
  3. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized work area. Label, date, and rotate products to ensure fresh inventory. Operate all equipment safely.
  4. Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, along with routine cleaning responsibilities.
  5. Notify supervisor of any changes in residents' health observed.
  6. Respond to resident requests, concerns, or complaints promptly, and notify the supervisor as needed.
  7. Partner effectively with team members in a demanding environment, supporting community operations as directed.
  8. Assist with special functions as directed.
  9. Demonstrate respect for facility property and supplies.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 15 years of age or older.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precautions, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD policies, Fair Housing laws, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in commercial kitchens.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
  • Previous senior care experience.
  • ServSafe or similar food safety and sanitation certification.
