Dining Ambassador/Dietary Aide - 1st shift 7a-3p

Job Title: Dining Ambassador / Dietary Aide

Reports To: Sr. Food Service Director

Hours: 7am-3pm with alternating weekends

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing various duties in the Dietary Department to ensure cleanliness and customer-friendly service environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare beverages, clean coffee machines, assist on tray line, set up trays with utensils, napkins, condiments, read and call out diet cards, lift up to 10 pounds, and perform cleaning tasks.
  • Assist with tray and dish handling, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions, ensuring meals are prepared and served accordingly.
  • Maintain food safety standards and comply with health regulations.
  • Identify common food allergens and stages in food preparation where contamination risks are highest, taking corrective actions.
  • Report unusual conditions or reactions to licensed personnel promptly.
  • Respond politely and professionally to residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervision.
  • Protect confidential resident and organizational information.
  • Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
  • Perform other duties as needed without altering core job requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One or more years of food service experience preferred.
