Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Dimensional Inspector II for on-site work in Clackamas, OR. The role focuses on monitoring, measuring, and documenting product characteristics against drawings and customer requirements throughout manufacturing and final inspection.

Responsibilities include inspecting weldments and machined parts with CMM and Faro trackers, preparing inspection reports, and ensuring ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in dimensional and visual inspections of complex weldments and machined parts.
• Ability to interpret drawings and perform GD&T.
• Experience documenting inspection results and nonconformances.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of weldments and machined parts; document results clearly.
• Prepare first part and in-process inspection reports using CMM, gauges, and handheld tools.
• Review drawings and specs to select inspection methods and flag errors.
• Provide timely responses to customer quality inquiries and findings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to prevent non-conforming parts and support root-cause analysis.
• Create nonconformance reports and support corrective actions.
• Ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance in inspection activities and documentation.
• Operate CMM and Faro tracker for complex inspections and generate accurate reports.
• Maintain complete inspection records and communicate results to customers.
• Participate in customer interactions regarding inspection findings and corrective actions.
