Job summary

HMH is seeking an Inspector for dimensional inspection work in our Houston facility. You will inspect components using portable and stationary CMMs, read engineering drawings, and document results. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to production schedules.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of inspection experience and be able to lift 30 lbs while maintaining a reliable attendance record. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of dimensional inspection experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using mechanical measurement tools or hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of products using Romer or Faro arm portable CMM equipment.
• Perform dimensional inspection with stationary CMM equipment.
• Interpret and report inspection results and maintain documentation.
• Identify and document product non-conformities.
• Support HSSE initiatives and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform work in compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality expectations while supporting a production schedule.
• Execute daily priorities as defined by the supervisor or area lead.
• Perform dimensional inspection of product using Romer or Faro arm portable CMM equipment.
• Perform dimensional inspection of product using stationary CMM equipment.
• Perform dimensional inspection of product using hand tools.
• Interpret and report results of inspections and maintain documentation in an organized fashion.
• Identify and document product non-conformities.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and HSSE projects.
• Lift a minimum of 30lbs.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and performance to meet production and business needs.
• Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by familiarizing yourself with and adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of dimensional inspection experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using mechanical measurement tools or hand tools.

• Preferred to have experience using stationary CMM equipment and PC-DMIS software.

• Experience working with offshore drilling equipment, specifically BOP and wellbore equipment.

Additional Information

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
• No relocation assistance.
• 6:30AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Friday (with overtime as required, some holidays required)
