Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Michigan is seeking a senior engineer to lead tolerance analysis and support vehicle program teams in manufacturing environments. You will guide metrology lab and floor activities to ensure the control plan execution and dimensional integrity across body, trim, and chassis systems.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering or mathematics and at least 3 years of dimensional control experience, with strong GD&T and CAD/metrology tool familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, mathematics.
• 3 or more years of dimensional control experience.
• Experience with GD&T and locating strategies for vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead tolerance analysis modeling and reporting
• Lead technicians in the metrology lab and factory floor executing the control plan
• Drive improvements in Pp/PpK from the tools and supplier parts
• Provide geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) support
• Support appearance and functional dimensional issue resolution
