Job summary

Epiq is seeking an Atlassian Platform Engineer to administer, optimize, integrate, and govern Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket. You will partner with Engineering, IT, and Product teams to deliver scalable governance and automation across the software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in Atlassian administration, strong ITIL/ITSM understanding, and experience with REST APIs and cloud infrastructure.

This role works closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Product Management, Agile Delivery, and IT teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve collaboration, project visibility, service delivery, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong platform engineering expertise with workflow automation, systems integration, cloud administration, and Agile process knowledge to drive continuous improvement across the software development and IT service management lifecycle. **Essential Job Responsibilities*** Work closely with the multiple teams to design best practices and build stable, highly available and high performing solutions* The ability to work on small teams to perform all phases of new project builds which includes the initiation, planning, execution and closure/handoff* Fully document each project in a run book format and perform proper handoffs to the operations team* Perform major application upgrades and updates* Work with internal departments for future projects which include kickoff meetings to define scope* Analyze issue and event trends in a support role for the operations team* Create, develop, and maintain service level agreements* Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported systems and provide insight to allow for continuous improvement* Work closely with IT and non IT associates in a team environment* Disaster Recovery management and testing **Qualifications & Characteristics**Required Skills:* Working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM methods* Hands-on experience with: Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence* Experience developing workflows, automation rules, custom fields, and reporting solutions.* Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks.* Experience with REST APIs, scripting, and systems integration.* Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and identity management concepts.* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience:* B.S. Engineering / C.S. / MIS degree highly desirable* 3+ years of experience administering and supporting Atlassian products. The Compensation range for this role is $95,000 to $105,000USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
