Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve, and digitize welding processes on the shop floor. You will conduct time studies, build processes, and create 3D/2D models to support production while transitioning from paper to digital documentation and leading standardization initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or process engineering, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong CAD (Creo or similar), MRP experience, and lean manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve welding department efficiency via time studies and build processes.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D views for manufacturing and assembly.
• Apply lean manufacturing to drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Lead transition from paper-based to digital documentation and standardize workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new processes on the shop floor.
