Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States is seeking a Digital Assembly Engineer to lead digital transformation in Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME). You will connect the plant floor with the digital thread, guiding 3D layout, virtual builds, and digital twins to validate stations before physical builds.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Design Engineering Technology (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing preferred).
• Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, and Process Simulate (Tecnomatix).
• Experience in Manufacturing or Launch environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 3D Cycle Line Layout meetings using 3D simulations to drive cross‑functional decisions.
• Drive iterative workstation development from concept through final validation.
• Execute Virtual Kaizens and Virtual Build Events.
• Initialize the Digital Twin in Siemens Teamcenter and maintain it to reflect design data.
• Perform advanced 3D simulations with dynamic humans, machines, and robots to identify bottlenecks and clearance issues.
• Support cross‑functional integration to ensure holistic plant strategies.
• Champion adoption of VR and advanced simulation tools like VET and IC.IDO.
• Support on‑site launches and validate that the physical build matches the digital twin.
