Job summary

Graphcore in Austin, Texas seeks a Digital Twin Engineering Intern to support development of digital twins for data lab spaces, equipment, and infrastructure using NVIDIA Omniverse and OpenUSD.

You will work with engineers on modeling, data integration, validation and documentation tasks, gaining hands-on experience in digital twins, 3D models and facilities data in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a relevant engineering or CS field.
• Foundation in engineering principles and interest in applying them to digital representations.
• Experience with or interest in 3D modeling, simulation, visualization, or digital twin tech.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to organize work, follow processes, learn new software, and seek guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of digital twins for data lab environments using NVIDIA Omniverse and OpenUSD.
• Create accurate 3D representations of lab spaces, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Convert and organize engineering data into reusable OpenUSD assets.
• Integrate electrical, mechanical, and facilities information into digital twins.
• Compare digital models with drawings to identify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineers to gather information for updates.
• Follow established modeling conventions, workflows, and documentation standards.
• Document assets, decisions, data sources, and methods for reuse.
• Test scenes and assets, identify issues, and resolve them.
• Communicate progress and propose improvements to workflows.
