Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled software/data engineer to design, develop, and enhance the DeepLynx data management and AI ecosystem. You will shape digital twin integrations and agentic AI workflows, while applying full-stack development across multiple platforms to support nuclear science research.

The role requires experience with containerization, DevOps, and modern software practices, along with collaboration across INL teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in C# and Python.
• Knowledge of data architecture for AI/ML consumption.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud/on‑prem deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve data management and AI ecosystem tools.
• Architect digital systems for AI/ML data readiness.
• Build agentic AI workflows and digital twin integrations.
• Apply full-stack development across web, desktop, embedded, and hosted platforms.
• Implement DevOps best practices for scalable deployment.
• Follow agile practices and maintain version control and documentation.
• Ensure robust testing and maintain technical docs for APIs and workflows.
• Support integration of modeling and simulation into complex digital systems.
• Analyze and maintain data frameworks for reliability and performance.
• Develop system designs and program software using listed languages.
• Provide technical consultation on data architecture and AI integration.
• Contribute to publications and conference papers.
• Stay current with data, AI, and autonomy tech.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers across INL.
