Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Technical Trainer III to lead the development, design, and delivery of comprehensive training programs for engineers and external customers in Centennial and Colorado Springs. The role blends on-site and remote instruction with hands-on support, curriculum development, and LMS administration.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of technical training experience, a technical degree, and strong communication skills, with familiarity in FAA training

The Technical Trainer III is responsible for leading the development, design, and implementation of comprehensive technical content and training materials for both internal and external customers. This role includes delivering on-site and remote client support by providing expert training programs and advising on technical training materials. The Trainer III collaborates with product management, engineers, and program managers to ensure training programs are effective and aligned with company objectives.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in technical training or a related field.
Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Advanced proficiency with e-learning development tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience with supporting/addressing customer training objectives.
Must possess strong verbal and technical written communication skills.
Must be able to coordinate collaboratively across traditional engineering disciplines.
Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with clear communication.
Ability to work at and support training instruction at both Centennial and Colorado Springs locations
Strong familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station DCMAI 8210.1, location specific FOPs and GOPS, and OSHA training requirements
Experience in delivering and developing technical and non-technical training programs.
Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to support and adapt to dynamic, fast-paced, and service-oriented environments.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
