Job summary

WHYY Digital Studios seeks an experienced Podcast Video Producer to create compelling digital-first video content for WHYY's local and national audiences. You will shoot, edit, and produce across YouTube, social media, and podcasts, while supporting partnerships with NPR and PBS Digital Studios.

The role combines hands-on production (approximately 85%) with management of the Fresh Air workflow (15%), demanding strong storytelling and technical skills in lighting, audio, and post-production.

Qualifications

• Degree in production or related field or the equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce, shoot, and edit original digital-first video content for YouTube, social media, podcasts, and WHYY digital platforms.
• Lead field and studio camera production for Digital Studios projects and special initiatives.
• Develop video workflows transforming radio, podcast, and original programming into engaging digital experiences.
• Collaborate with producers, hosts, and editorial teams to create content optimized for YouTube and emerging platforms.
• Edit short- and long-form content using Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite while upholding WHYY standards.
• Plan and execute location shoots with proper lighting and audio setup.
• Analyze YouTube and platform metrics to inform content decisions and improve engagement.
