Job summary
WHYY in Philadelphia, PA invites applications for an Associate Producer, Digital. The role develops and distributes digital content across WHYY.org and related platforms, working closely with the production and digital news teams.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, strong writing and editing skills, and familiarity with Wordpress, HTML/CSS, media tools, and Google Analytics. This full-time, hybrid position offers opportunities to shape online storytelling and audience
Qualifications
- Education: College degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 1 year+
- Technical Skills: Ability to write, edit and proof-read quality written content. Skilled with computers, takes advantage of new technology, and learns new tools.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and updating WHYY.org homepage and other front doors.
- Monitoring and updating WHYY.org media (audio/video) files and metadata.
- Updating of various program and podcast related episode content.
- Updating of ancillary WHYY digital properties - like watch.whyy.org.
- Management of select third-party platforms, like YouTube.
- Content curation / updating on WHYY apps.
