Job summary

AARP is seeking a Digital Consulting Manager to guide technology strategy, product roadmaps, and cross-functional delivery across the enterprise. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and end-users to balance short-term wins with long-term goals.

You will translate business ideas into technical implementations, ensure compliance, and advance digital engagement to support AARP priorities and modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years in business technology, product management, or related role.
• Experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps, business cases, and implementation plans.
• Proven ability to lead technology initiatives from requirements through adoption and support.
• Strong business analysis skills including requirements elicitation and user story development.
• Experience partnering with stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors on digital initiatives.
• Knowledge of enterprise tech including CMS, LMS, data management, and integrations.
• Experience applying organizational change management to support technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Manages technology projects, coordinating resources and timelines with cross-functional teams.
• Provides strategic guidance on the department's technology roadmap and improvements.
• Creates product strategies and roadmaps based on product tech stack and consumer needs.
• Acts as a business liaison with technology and vendors to support initiatives and rollout.
• Gathers understanding of enterprise tech landscape and advises on data practices.
• Translates strategic ideas into technical implementations with actionable user stories.
• Promotes use of appropriate tools and shares expertise to advance priorities.
