Job summary

RBC is seeking a Head of Digital Chief of Staff to partner with the Head of Digital, connecting programs to enterprise strategy and overseeing governance and execution. The role drives risk mitigation, accountability, and proactive leadership across a broad, matrixed organization.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in wealth management or financial services, with experience as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, and excels at executive communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in wealth management or financial services with digital strategy or program management experience.
• Experience as chief of staff or trusted-advisor to a senior leader.
• Proven ability to manage risk and drive accountability in a complex portfolio.
• Excellent judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
• Highly collaborative, able to build credibility across business, technology, data, and operations.
• Experience in a matrixed, highly regulated environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic partner to the Head of Digital, aligning priorities across leadership.
• Ensure programs map to enterprise strategy and reprioritize as needed.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks before they materialize.
• Own the operating rhythm: lead leadership meetings and planning cycles.
• Prepare executive-ready communications and decision memos.
• Influence across teams to hold them accountable without direct authority.
• Anticipate future needs and propose solutions ahead of issues.
