Job description

U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) is seeking a Digital Strategist/Assistant to join the digital media team in her Washington, DC office. Together with the Digital Director, you will help implement a comprehensive digital media and grassroots engagement strategy.

As a Digital Strategist/Assistant, you will help manage the senator’s social media platforms and assist in media production. You will be responsible for staying on top of trends, pitching ideas, and drafting content. You will also assist with digital media, including photo/video shoots, graphic design, clipping, and cross-platform content generation. Experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc. is not needed to apply. However, you will be trained to use these products and will be required to learn them as part of your regular duties. You will also work collaboratively with the press, policy, and state teams to achieve your goals.

This is an entry-level position, but at least six months of work experience on an electoral campaign, issues-based campaign, congressional office, or federal agency is preferred. You must have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects across varying deadlines, and attention to detail.
