Job summary

O’Neil Digital Solutions is seeking a Digital Stitch Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to set up, run, and maintain saddle stitch equipment for binding operations. You will monitor quality, adjust settings, and ensure timely production while following safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in printing/bindery; experience with Horizon, IBIS, or Mueller Stitchers is a plus. Must be technically inclined and able to read maintenance docs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required, preferred.
• Two years experience in a printing or Bindery environment; Horizon/IBIS/Mueller experience is a plus.
• Must be technically and mechanically oriented.
• Able to read and interpret operation and maintenance instructions.
• Adhere to Safety and OSHA standards.
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and accountability in performance.
• Strong productivity, quality, and timeliness focus.
• Clear, professional communication with team and management.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment at job start per job ticket specifications.
• Inspect equipment and address safety concerns.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Monitor quality, output, and overall productivity.
• Make adjustments to meet specifications.
• Report defective materials or issues to the manager.
• Train and supervise PHI recycling.
• Set up and operate packaging peripherals (trimmer, cover feeder).
• Maintain workflow from start to finish; ensure 70% productivity or higher.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
