Job summary

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) seeks a Program Manager – Digital Standards to oversee cross-functional planning, execution, and delivery across the growing Digital Standards portfolio.

You will maintain the master plan, track timelines, and ensure budgets are managed responsibly while flagging risks to leadership. As digital standards evolve in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, you will help scale USP’s digital reference standards, qNMR software, and related programs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in project/program management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams on complex programs.
• Ability to track budgets, timelines, and report portfolio status to executives.
• Familiarity with digital product development, scientific workflows, or regulatory processes.
• Experience with PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Planner, Asana, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Digital Standards portfolio roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional program planning across multiple workstreams.
• Track progress of initiatives including product development and policy work.
• Establish governance structures with meetings, logs, and escalation pathways.
• Develop dashboards, portfolio reports, and KPIs for leadership.
• Monitor budgets and forecast spending across programs.
• Identify risks and resource gaps; surface mitigations to leadership.
• Maintain charters, schedules, risk registers, budget trackers, and comms plans.
• Support annual and quarterly planning aligned with Digital Standards strategy.
• Facilitate cross-team communication for transparency.
