Job summary

Colgate invites undergraduates to join as a Digital Shopper Marketing Co‑Op Intern in Overland Park, Kansas. The role focuses on optimizing PDPs, improving conversion through agentic commerce, and enhancing eCommerce presence across major retailers.

You will work with shopper marketers and retail media managers, gain hands-on experience in digital shelf strategies, and contribute to measurable growth. Hybrid schedule applies, with a January 25–April 30, 2027 duration and potential extension.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program, in your 3rd or 4th year in marketing, digital marketing, computer science, business or related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs).

Responsibilities

  • Support large shopper media activations across multiple key retailers, ensuring content on pages is up to date and create strategies to win at the digital shelf.
  • Execute retailer-specific copy optimization, tailoring titles, bullet points, and descriptions for retailer algorithms and shopper demographics.
  • Optimize automated workflows for PDP image and copy updates with built-in data validation steps.
  • Partner with shopper marketers and retail media managers to build digital shelf visibility strategies increasing visibility at the digital shelf to drive incremental conversion.
  • Utilize digital shelf analytics tools to identify performance gaps and translate data into actionable insights delivering growth.

Are you a passionate and driven undergraduate looking to kickstart your marketing career with hands‑on experience at a leading global company? As Digital Shopper Marketing Co‑Op Intern, you’ll be immersed in our brands’ eCommerce presence, ensuring every click leads to a seamless, persuasive, and best‑in‑class shopper experience. The single most important outcome for this position is maximizing conversion rates by optimizing our Product Detail Pages (PDPs) for agentic commerce, SEO and the unique nuances of each retail environment. You will ensure our products are easy to find, compelling to purchase, and accurately represented across major retailer sites.

January 25 - April 30, 2027 with potential to extend through Summer 2027

Key Responsibilities
  • Support large shopper media activations across multiple key retailers, ensuring that content on pages are up to date, and create strategies on how to win at the digital shelf
  • Execute retailer‑specific copy optimization, tailoring titles, bullet points, and descriptions to garner favor within specific retailer algorithms and shopper demographics.

  • Partner with shopper marketers and retail media managers to build digital shelf visibility strategies that increase visibility at the digital shelf to drive incremental conversion
  • Utilize digital shelf analytics tools to identify performance gaps and opportunities, translating data into actionable “so what” insights that deliver measurable growth to the business
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program, in your 3rd or 4th year in marketing, digital marketing, computer science, business or related field

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $24.00 - $25.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit‑sharing, and long‑term incentives for Executive‑level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
