Job summary

Origin Media Network is seeking a Digital Rights Manager to own rights and clearance across our fast-growing digital media library. You will build the rights infrastructure as we expand into TV, streaming, and licensing, ensuring clean transfers of rights for distribution partners.

You will lead FOIA/public-records documentation, chain-of-title packages, and internal systems to track source and rights status, proactively identifying issues before they arise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of copyright, licensing, and usage rights.
• Experience with FOIA/public-records content preferred.
• Experience preparing rights documentation for distribution partners.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-starter with strong ownership.

Job description

We’re hiring a Digital Rights Manager to own rights and clearance across an extremely fast-growing digital media company.

We produce content using police bodycam footage, interrogations, FOIA/public-records materials, and other third-party media. As we expand into TV, streaming, and licensing, we need someone who can build the rights infrastructure to support that growth.

What You’ll Lead:

• Rights and clearance across our content library
• FOIA and public-records documentation
• Chain-of-title and proof-of-rights packages
• Deliverables for TV networks, streamers, and distribution partners
• Internal systems for tracking the source and rights status of footage
• Identifying rights issues before they become problems

Who We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Deep understanding of copyright, content licensing, public domain, and usage rights
• Ideally has worked directly with FOIA/public-records content
• Ideally has handled rights and clearance for TV networks, production companies, streamers, or large social media publishers
• Has experience preparing rights documentation for major distribution partners
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• High agency. Comfortable owning this function without needing a playbook.

This is a role for someone who wants to help build the system, instead of just operating inside of one.
