Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY seeks an Electronic Resources Librarian to manage databases, ebooks and ejournals, ensuring access and discoverability across the library catalog and discovery layers. You will monitor renewals, gather usage data for assessment, assist with budget management, and coordinate with colleagues in technical services and collection management to maximize resource value.

This role supports the Head of Collection Management and Assessment and provides backup for

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Experience with electronic resource management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure discoverability of electronic content in the Library catalog, discovery layer, and on the Library website.
• Monitor subscription renewal cycles, procurement of new resources, contract review timelines, and budget monitoring.
• Gather and maintain e-resource usage and other assessment metrics for collection management and accreditation.
• Resolve electronic content access issues promptly.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and manage database/e-resource subscriptions and license reviews.
• Collaborate with Metadata/Resource Management Librarian and Digital Technologies Administrator to ensure integration with systems.
• Support Head of Collection Management and Assessment in resource ordering and budget management in their absence.
