Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to partner with refinery operators and end users to deliver digital capabilities that improve safety, reliability and efficiency across MPC's refining network.

You will work with Digital Twins, connected worker solutions, industrial data platforms and analytics, translating complex operational needs into practical solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems preferred, related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with Data Contextualization or Industrial Digital Twin technologies is preferred.
• Experience supporting refining, manufacturing, industrial, or operational technology (OT) environments is preferred.
• Experience developing or supporting digital tools for rounds, logbooks, task tracking, or digital permitting capabilities is preferred.
• Proven ability to drive efforts across diverse teams and drive successful outcomes in complex environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the definition of business processes to measure, analyze, improve and control the process.
• Lead initiatives from concept through implementation with focus on outcomes and user adoption.
• Communicates requirements to stakeholders and identifies cross-functional impacts for delivery.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
• Develops recommendations for systems enhancements to current platforms.
• Investigates performance measures to gain insight and drive planning.
• Performs cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed systems.
• Supports improvement of working processes within the team.
• Monitors IT service management practices around incident, Change, SDLC delivery.
• Coordinates test case development and strategy for technology delivery.
• Plans and documents user stories and feedback to support prototypes and wireframes.
