Job summary

The Phillips Library at Peabody Essex Museum is offering a Spring 2027 digital projects internship in Rowley, MA. The role focuses on digitization for the online collections portal, imaging and post-processing, and metadata creation using local rules.

The intern may also inventory glass plate negatives and prepare materials for digitization by external partners. The internship runs January 21 to April 26, 2027 (or an agreed end date), with a mandatory in-person orientation and Thursday

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required
• Progress in a Master of Library and Information Science preferred
• Interest in library services or a related field
• Competence with Microsoft Office and Google suites
• Attention to detail
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Intern will receive training in library systems used for the project
• Position is in Rowley, MA; reliable transportation required
