Title: Digital Project Manager

Location: Richmond, VA (hybrid 3 days per week)

Duration: 1-year assignment, possibility of extension or conversion

Job Description

Our Fortune 150 financial services client is seeking a Project Manager to support their Customer Resiliency Marketing team. The Project Manager will oversee marketing delivery across workstreams supporting customer engagement and offers strategies in a highly organized manner. Customer Resiliency is a large organization dedicated to supporting customers in need, helping them recover faster after setbacks or hardships.

The team aims to build a top-tier performance marketing organization, encompassing consumer marketing, insights, creative, brand marketing, and operations, enabling marketing initiatives across the bank ecosystem.

  • Managing consumer-facing creative projects, owning processes, and exercising project controls.
  • Planning and understanding project deliverables, tasks, dependencies, resourcing, forecasting, and processes.
  • Assessing project risks and communicating contingency plans to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with business leadership, designers, creative teams, research, legal, compliance, and product teams to develop and optimize marketing programs and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure successful delivery of marketing projects across channels (app, email, SMS, letters, claims, articles, etc.).
  • Manage multiple project plans, updating dependencies and risks, and communicating effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and partners throughout each project.
  • Work with leadership to scope, backlog, and initiate work.
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation, including timelines and scope documents.
  • Resolve most project-level issues independently.
  • Propose solutions to senior team members for large-scale challenges.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Collaborate effectively across departments including creative, leadership, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and listening skills.
  • Passion for banking products and marketing, with a positive attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience in banking, financial, or highly regulated industries.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record managing large projects and integrated creative campaigns.
  • Experience managing multiple creative and campaign types simultaneously.
  • Experience with various project types including email, SMS, letters, digital, etc.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
