Job summary

UMass Amherst's Institute for Holocaust, Genocide, and Memory Studies seeks a Program and Communications Coordinator to lead its digital presence and administrative operations. The role emphasizes managing the Institute’s public-facing website, communications platforms, and events, while supporting the Director and coordinating cross-unit activities.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, with strong skills in Drupal, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative operations or program administration.
Proficiency with website management systems (e.g., Drupal) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
Experience with basic graphic design, video editing, or digital communications tools.
Experience supporting financial, purchasing, or budget-related administrative processes.
Experience coordinating events, meetings, and complex schedules with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the Institute's public-facing Drupal website and digital content.
Coordinate the Director's operations and manage communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee financial administration, purchasing, and budget reporting using Concur and BuyWays.
Plan and support public programs, events, workshops, webinars, and lectures; manage speaker travel and on-site operations.
Liaise with Facilities and campus service units; coordinate facilities and capital projects as needed.
