The Digital Program Manager - Defense Digital and IT is responsible for various tasks to improve the delivery of results on digital projects for the business.The successful candidate will join the Defense Digital and IT Team and work day-to-day with an internal organization called the Digital Products Group.

What you will be doing:

With this attractive opportunity you will be working primarily on tracking status and keeping a high-level view of our entire portfolio of projects. You will work closely with the VP leading the wider team and helping to connect progress, status, and delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with the team leader to understand, track status, and manage all digital products being worked in the portfolio (often more than 30).
  • Liaise between technical teams, leadership, status report outs, external customers, and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Small amounts of purchasing, finance, and support tasks to ensure our team can move fast and maintain financial transparency.
  • Minor technical writing for documentation, user guides, project issue items, and project descriptions
  • Support tasks around marketing and comms, copywriting, article generation, documenting project wins, photo/branding creations, etc.
  • Shadow the VP leading the team, some business travel, and support strategy creation, decision making and other types of team support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 + years experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, 6 + Years experience.
  • Strong communication experience with available examples of writing, speaking, leading, etc.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams of tasks, statuses, report-outs, etc. while keeping things organized and on-track.
  • Awareness of and some experience with modern software practices, modern product ownership practices, and other technical topics related to the creation of digital products.
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in program management, product ownership, or leading programs of small to medium size projects.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A desired career direction in program management, and the desire to support a high performing delivery team.
  • A demonstrated ability to react quickly, think outside the box, and to be flexible in different situations to achieve results.
  • A service-oriented mindset enabling you to take on high- and low-level tasks to aid the team as a whole to deliver at our best.
  • Marketing, Communications, copywriting experience will likely be beneficial.
  • Advocate of High-Performance Culture and positive change
