Job summary

The Claremont Colleges Services seeks a Digital Production Associate to contribute to digitization and publishing workflows for the CCDL and related projects. The DPA will help manage digital objects, metadata, and quality control across textual, photographic, and audiovisual materials.

The role requires collaboration, project oversight, and mentoring of student assistants within a university library setting. 40-hour weeks, with occasional extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of relevant experience in digital production or a related field.
• Experience managing digital assets and workflows.
• Knowledge of metadata, file formats, and digitization workflows.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Participates in digital production and publishing workflows for CCDL and Scholarship@Claremont with attention to quality and long-term preservation.
• Performs quality control of digitized and born-digital content including OCR and metadata.
• Supports ingest, publishing, and digital asset management across projects.
• Trains student assistants and coordinates with stakeholders and the Open Publishing team.
• Documents procedures and tracks project milestones and outputs.
