Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc is seeking a Data Product Manager to shape the product roadmap for data-driven offerings in our HVAC domain. You will collaborate with business partners, data engineers, and UX teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or related quantitative field with seven+ years in data/product roles.
• Experience translating business requirements into data/product roadmaps using Agile (epics, features, backlog).
• Experience collaborating with data engineering/analytics teams to build scalable data models and pipelines.
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs to measure product adoption and business impact.
• Experience eliciting requirements with cross-functional stakeholders (business users, engineering, UX).
• Experience with enterprise data platforms (data warehouses/analytics platforms).
• Knowledge of data governance and regulatory requirements affecting enterprise data use.
• Experience using SQL and Python for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools.

Job Duties

• Define and manage product roadmaps; curate and prioritize backlog features; plan product increments, epics, and product narratives; and manage delivery timelines.
• Elicit requirements and understand the voice of the customer, target audiences, and personas. Identify pain points and collaborate with business partners to develop creative solutions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members across the organization. Partner closely with related teams, including UI/UX, development, and other product management functions.
• Learn and leverage available data within the data estate. Identify data gaps and work with digital leaders to address them through new data sources and/or datasets. Understand applicable regulations and limitations on data use.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Promote a data-driven culture.
• Champion a data-centric culture by empowering business units to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and adoption of data initiatives, driving continuous improvement and value creation.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative Engineering field, plus seven (7) years of experience as a Data Product Manager, Data Scientist, Product Manager, or related occupation involving data and analytics product management.
• Experience translating business requirements into data and analytics product roadmaps using Agile methodologies (including epics, features, and backlog prioritization).
• Experience collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams to develop scalable data models and pipelines.
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs to measure product adoption and business impact.
• Experience eliciting requirements and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including business users, engineering, and UX teams.
• Experience working with enterprise data platforms, such as data warehouses or analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory requirements affecting enterprise data use.
• Experience using SQL and Python for data analysis, validation, and data aggregation.
• Experience with Agile tools and methodologies, including Azure DevOps (ADO).

Remote Work: May work remote 2 days per week.
