Job Description

As a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. You will calibrate printers and match projects against our client's Pantone colors or previous jobs. Additionally, you will manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.

This is an excellent position for someone interested in entering the industry and building a lasting career.

You will also be trained to assist our large format department in printing, production, and installation projects, such as vehicle graphics and wall murals that require a second installer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate and complete all digital printing (B&W) production efficiently.
• Assist in large format printing, production, and installation projects.
• Impose files for print and run USPS mail software.
• Work with the Production Scheduler to prioritize jobs.
• Produce orders accurately and maintain high quality standards.
• Update job status and location in MIS system.
• Run proof copies and compare to work orders.
• Check quality during production to minimize waste and rework.
• Complete Quality Assurance documentation for printed jobs.
• Track waste, usage, and inventory of digital printing machines.
• Maintain equipment logs and a clean work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance and learn extended maintenance from technicians.
• Ensure service clicks are credited properly.
• Calibrate and manage devices to ensure consistency.
• Monitor print runs and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital printing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and organize activities efficiently.
• Flexibility to work hours and overtime if needed.
• Efficient use of time and equipment to maximize profit.
• Basic bindery skills.
• Familiarity with Fiery Print Controller and Command Workstation is a plus.
• Graphic design skills and customer service experience are beneficial but not required.
