Job summary

Maryland Science Center in Baltimore seeks a staff member to present astronomy programs in the Digital Planetarium, operate projection equipment, and manage crowds. Qualifications

• Experience with the general public, including children.
• Comfort presenting to audiences.
• Ability to convey basic science concepts.
• Provide excellent guest service to museum visitors.
• Pass a background check.
• Attend onboarding training.

Responsibilities

• Present astronomy programs in the digital planetarium.
• Operate and monitor projection equipment.
• Engage with visitors between shows.
• Update and create educational resources for teachers.
• Support development and implementation of programming.
• Maintain materials and supplies.
