Job summary

Morgan Murphy Media’s My UP News seeks a dynamic Digital Producer to lead digital efforts for the ABC affiliate serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The role blends on-air and digital storytelling, with a focus on streaming, social, and web platforms.

You will curate content, manage deadlines, and collaborate with the news department to enhance audience engagement. A BA/BS in journalism and experience with online publishing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in journalism with AP style writing.
• BA/BS in journalism or related field preferred.
• Experience producing video and audio for the web using desktop software.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite releases from law enforcement, government agencies, non-profit and other organizations.
• Find additional information on stories to provide more context and perspective.
• Review and help improve locally produced content with the news department.
• Create content for web, social, and app platforms to enhance the audience experience.
• Develop new workflows embracing digital strategies and ideas.
• Train other team members in best practices and strategies.
• Experiment with new technologies to refine workflows and processes.
