Job summary

KRWG Public Media is seeking a Digital Media Specialist to develop, direct, and maintain our departmental social media efforts on a campus-based team in Las Cruces, NM. You will serve as the primary social media and web contact, coordinating posts and updating site content.

Are you passionate about social media? KRWG Public Media at New Mexico State University is looking for a Digital Media Specialist. This position is responsible for developing, directing and maintaining departmental social media efforts. Serves as the primary social media and web contact. Collaborates with various internal departments to write and/or edit social media and website posts, including updating website information, and posting local, regional and national news content.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Entry-level, $43,908.80

Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant work experience.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, and Audition) or equivalent digital media editing tools. Familiarity with CMS environments.

Knowledge of digital and social media best practices and ability to optimize content using Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other emerging platforms.
