SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Manager plays a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing initiatives that advance Leader Dog's mission. The position is responsible for managing campaign workflows, coordinating cross‑functional marketing activities with internal and external partners, creating engaging digital content, and owning day‑to‑day social media execution to elevate Leader Dog’s digital presence and reputation in alignment with our mission. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and will invest time in learning Leader Dog’s mission, programs, audiences, brand standards, and accessibility practices through active engagement with clients, volunteers, staff, and on‑campus experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign and Project Management

  • Build and manage omnichannel marketing campaigns within Monday.com to support volunteer engagement, fundraising, content initiatives, event promotion, and other strategic priorities.
  • Maintain and update multiple project boards simultaneously, ensuring all stakeholders have visibility into timelines and deliverables.
  • Proactively manage deadlines, follow up with internal teams and external partners.

Social Media Management

  • Draft, edit, and publish social media content across all Leader Dog social media accounts, maintaining a consistent voice, tone, and high standard for accessibility and mission alignment.
  • Manage and maintain the social media publishing calendar within Sprout Social, ensuring all posts are scheduled in alignment with campaign timelines.
  • Monitor scheduled content and community engagement.
  • Use campaign and platform performance data to identify trends, recommend optimizations, and support continuous improvement across digital initiatives.

Content Creation and Creative Support

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to recommend content and storytelling approaches that support campaign objectives, audience growth, fundraising efforts, and brand awareness.
  • Create accessible, engaging photo and video content to support social media and bring forward ideas to support engagement and campaign performance.
  • Ensure the accessibility of all social media content through captions, descriptions, and alt‑text.
  • Capture content on the Leader Dog campus and in the field as needed, including events, programs, and mission‑driven moments.
  • Edit video and photo assets using industry‑standard tools.
  • Adapt content for multiple channels and formats, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in digital content creation.
  • Research, test, and help implement AI‑assisted marketing tools and workflow enhancements that improve content creation, campaign execution, reporting, personalization, accessibility, and operational efficiency.

Digital Advertising Support

  • In collaboration with Leader Dog's marketing agency, help develop integrated digital advertising strategies that support volunteer recruitment, client recruitment, fundraising initiatives, event promotion, and organizational awareness goals.
  • Review and provide feedback on advertising creative, messaging, landing pages, and campaign assets to ensure alignment with brand standards and organizational priorities.
  • Help coordinate digital advertising efforts with social media, email marketing, content, and broader campaign activities to create cohesive audience experiences.
  • Assist in managing campaign budgets, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring agency partners have the information needed for successful execution.

Internal Collaboration

  • Collaborate regularly and proactively with stakeholders and industry experts across the organization.
  • Pivot quickly between priorities and projects, utilizing project management tools to stay organized and share information.
  • Partner with philanthropy team to support national awareness and fundraising strategy.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project management experience, including hands‑on use of Monday.com or similar tools.
  • Experience managing and executing social media content using platforms such as Sprout Social.
  • Experience creating and editing photo and video content for social media; familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar) and emerging technologies such as AI‑assisted content tools.

  • Effective communicator accustomed to meeting regularly across teams and with external partners.

  • Proficient in latest version of Microsoft Office products.
  • This position may be required to be on campus when deemed necessary at the direction of management.
  • Possess sound business judgment, exercise professional conduct, understand and follow business ethics and standards, and maintain a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be comfortable with and willing to work around large dogs.
  • Willing to perform general public relations duties on behalf of Leader Dog (perform tours, answer general questions, be a professional and courteous representative of Leader Dog, etc.).
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional, productive, and courteous interactions with employees that promote positive teamwork, as well as with volunteers, donors, clients, and all constituents of Leader Dog. This encompasses going beyond giving and receiving instructions and includes but is not limited to (a) performing work activities requiring interacting or speaking with others; and (b) responding appropriately to constructive feedback or suggestions for improvement from a supervisor.
