Job summary

Generac invites you to join its Internship Program in Waukesha, WI. This full-time, on-site internship runs May/June through August 2027, offering real-world engineering experience and mentorship while contributing to manufacturing digital solutions.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with engineers to build MES apps, develop Power BI dashboards, create API connections, and document new digital solutions for our production sites, with opportunities to travel to other Generac facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS degree in computer science, data science, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP, or industrial data platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries.
• Proficiency in data analysis and scripting languages.
• Full-time Summer availability 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Work on MES app building and data analytics.
• Assist in design, validation, and documentation of new digital solutions.
• Develop manufacturing applications, Power BI reports, and dashboards.
• Integrate systems using APIs and interface with IT data teams.
• Travel to other Generac sites as needed.
• Prepare technical documentation and training materials.
