Job summary

ASU Prep Global Academy in Texas seeks a Learning Facilitator to oversee students completing digital coursework in a lab or classroom. The role serves as the liaison between the digital teacher and students, monitors progress and behavior, and communicates with partnership staff, using the LMS to respond to questions and track attendance.

This grant-funded position continues only if future funding is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus an associate degree or higher.
• Alternatively: 60 college credits completed.
• Passing score on ADE-approved assessments (Praxis, Workkeys, etc.).
• One or more years of student-facing experience preferred.
• Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Completes online Learning Facilitator training.
• Run data reports and analyze data.
• Advocate for student success in the online environment.
• Serve as liaison to partnership support staff.
• Take daily attendance.
• Supervise students during lunch and on the playground.
• Monitor students to ensure online course progress.
• Conference with students weekly to review goals and progress.
• Conduct tutoring sessions guided by the Digital teacher.
• Host parent/teacher conferences onsite or virtually.
• Facilitate student communication with virtual teachers.
• Understand school partner processes and policies.
• Remain open to feedback from school leadership.
• Instruct students in using virtual lessons and exam prep.
• Coordinate access to professors/TAs for assignments and deadlines.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and training modules.
• Notify on-site IT staff for technical issues.
• Check equipment daily and report issues.
• Additional duties as necessary.
