Job summary

Norwalk Board of Education is seeking a Digital Learning Instructional Coach for the 2026-2027 SY at Center for Global Studies/PTECH High School. The role focuses on coaching teachers to embed digital learning across subjects and to align with the district's digital curriculum.

The ideal candidate will lead professional development, model best practices in technology integration, and support multilingual learners and students with disabilities through data-driven strategies.

Qualifications

Valid Professional Educator License with endorsements relevant to digital learning or technology integration.
Master's degree in education, Educational Technology, or related field.
Minimum of five years of exemplary teaching experience, preferably with experience in digital curriculum design or instructional technology.
Previous experience as a Digital Coach, Instructional Technology Specialist, or similar role preferred

Responsibilities

Provide job-embedded professional development and coaching to support the effective implementation of digital tools and resources, spending approximately 70% of the day working with staff.
Participate in the school's Instructional Leadership Team, contributing to the School Improvement Plan with a focus on digital learning strategies and in-person/online learning models.
Facilitate access to core curriculum through digital platforms for all learners, including Multilingual Learners and Students with Disabilities, while managing documentation needs for Verizon Innovative Learning Schools model.
Collaborate with teachers to implement targeted digital interventions for individual student needs and data-driven strategies to improve instructional practices.
Apply adult learning principles to support teachers and teams through coaching, modeling, and facilitating professional learning in digital pedagogy.
Build strong relationships with teachers, paraprofessionals, and the wider school community to foster a culture of digital learning.
Collaborate with subject-specific coaches to ensure a coherent approach to integrating digital tools across learning areas.
Design and facilitate workshops for families to support digital learning outside school hours, compensated at the PD rate.
Coordinate with building leadership and technicians to develop systems related to maintenance and device responsibility
