Job summary

Hirons in Indianapolis is offering a Digital Marketing Intern position. You will work with our digital team to support client projects, build skills, and learn how to develop and execute digital marketing strategies.

This is a paid internship with 20+ hours per week. Spring 2027 applications close Nov 16 at 5PM. You will gain hands-on experience across content, SEO, social media, email marketing and analytics.

Qualifications

• Strong writing skills; include at least 2 writing samples when applying.
• Strong interest in writing, marketing and content strategy.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Experience with social media platforms including Meta, X and LinkedIn.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop, audit and optimize content for websites, social media, email campaigns and other digital channels.
• Support SEO, AEO and AI search efforts through research, content optimization and website audits.
• Assist with social media strategy, content calendars, scheduling and reporting.
• Support email marketing campaigns, including content development, campaign setup and performance tracking.
• Assist with website updates, content organization and user experience improvements.
• Review digital analytics and help develop performance reports and recommendations.
• Conduct competitor, audience and industry research to inform digital strategies.
• Research emerging digital trends, platforms and technologies.
• Support the development of client presentations, proposals and digital marketing plans.
• Collaborate with strategists, designers, developers and account teams across client projects.

You’ll work alongside our digital team and collaborate with creative, communications and account teams to support client projects, build your skills and learn what goes into developing and executing digital marketing strategies.

This is a paid position; the ideal candidate has availability of 20+ hours per week.

Spring 2027 internship applications will close Monday, November 16th at 5PM.

Responsibilities could include:

• Develop, audit and optimize content for websites, social media, email campaigns, blogs and other digital channels.
