Job summary

DESRI, formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments, seeks a Manager, Digital Infrastructure Development to advance commercialization and growth of its digital infrastructure efforts alongside its utility-scale solar and battery energy storage portfolio across U.S.

power markets. The role combines strong commercial judgment with analytical capabilities and cross-functional collaboration with Development, Investments, M&A, Finance, Legal, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
• Experience in renewable energy, power markets, or infrastructure investing.
• Knowledge of solar and battery energy storage project development.
• Understanding of PPA, storage tolling, and Renewable Energy Credits.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with digital infrastructure customers, utilities, and related counterparties.
• Lead project development at sites with large load applications, coordinating across DESRI teams to address customer needs.
• Manage permitting, real estate, minerals, title, and community engagement related to site diligence.
• Evaluate opportunities for data centers and large-load customers, considering generation, storage, and transmission implications.
• Support project and portfolio acquisitions, including commercial due diligence and market analysis.
• Collaborate with Development, Strategy, M&A, Finance, Legal, and Engineering to move opportunities from evaluation to execution.
